It's not cheap gardens or cheap gardening. It's inexpensive gardening for the frugal gardener. It's homemade gardening the "Hillbilly Gardener" way!

"My Garden Journal For January / 2009"

For the Hillbilly Gardener, frugal gardening translates into inexpensive gardening. This gives him more of everything for backyard outdoor living in general.

While we've always kept a garden journal of sorts, or at least some garden records of our efforts, this is my first attempt to journal for the public. This first month of our first effort isn't much as we attempt to figure out and formulate just what we desire to accomplish and there really isn't much going on around here this month this year. Come back often and watch both our garden and garden journal grow through the months. It will get better - I promise!

Turned the compost pile into the second bin. Wet it down and added some soil to aid decomposition. Checked the birdbath heater and filled with water.
