Gardener's Supply Company was founded in 1983 by a handful of enthusiastic Vermont gardeners. Today, we serve millions of gardeners nationwide, offering everything from seed starting supplies and garden furniture to flower supports and garden carts. Though our company has grown, we remain passionately committed to providing garden-tested, earth-friendly products that will help our customers have more fun and success in their gardens.
Gardener's Supply Company is proud to be employee-owned. We are gardeners ourselves and have earned our customers' trust by providing high-quality products, expert information and friendly, personalized service.
We understand the products that we sell because we use them in our own gardens. Regular product training sessions and a gardening certification program for our staff help us to provide the best service and support in the business.
At our headquarters in Burlington, Vermont, you can check out the Gardener's Supply store and stroll through our display gardens. We also offer seminars and special events throughout the year.
Innovative Gardening SolutionsWorking with customers, market gardeners, universities, manufacturers and suppliers throughout the world, we provide smart, garden-tested solutions for most every gardening challenge. Over the last 25 years, Gardener's Supply has designed and introduced dozens of innovative gardening products, including self-watering planters, a complete line of flower supports, composters, grow lights, professional growing mediums, organic fertilizers and more.
We have our own research and development team and maintain a half-acre test garden. We also have our own manufacturing facility in Georgia, Vermont, where we produce garden carts, raised beds, light gardens and many of the other products we offer.

Improving the World Through GardeningGardener's Supply Company actively promotes gardening as an important way for people to make the world a better place in their own backyards, in their communities, and in the world at large. We donate 8 percent of our pre-tax profits to gardening-related initiatives and organizations working in the areas of sustainable agriculture, the environment and hunger.
Our Garden Crusader Awards recognize people across the country who are using gardening to improve the quality of life in their communities. This year Gardener's Supply Company will award more than $12,000 in cash and prizes.
We also provide major gifts to a number of non-profit organizations through our national donations program. Recipients include the American Community Gardening Association, the American Horticulture Therapy Association, and Plant a Row for the Hungry.
In Vermont, our local donations program helps fund more than 50 community organizations. We also founded, and continue to be a lead sponsor for the Intervale Center, which oversees the land and farming activities in the 700-acre floodplain adjacent to our offices in Burlington.
