Where gardening and outdoor living come together!

Every gardener knows that the key to a great garden is compost. But how do you make the best compost quickly? The best compost comes from having the right mix of carbon to nitrogen and that's where this handy chart will help. Some of the most commonly available and used materials are highlighted in green as well as notes to help use them effectively. Remember though that having the right mix of compost materials is only part of the magic of making great compost. Having the correct moisture and oxygenation by turning are also vitally important and must not be neglected if you want really great compost quickly..
